The Air Force Assistance Fund supports Department of Air Force families by providing financial assistance from the beginning of active service until death. Assistance is provided though its four charities the Air Force Aid Society, Air Force Enlisted Village, Air Force Villages Charitable Foundation, and the LeMay Foundation.

Eligibility

Active duty, Retirees, reservists, guard and dependents, including Surviving spouses are eligible to receive assistance from the Air Force Assistance Fund. Eligibility varies between charities, see the charity that fits your needs to determine eligibility for benefits.

Benefit Highlights

The Air Force Assistance Fund supports Department of Air Force families by providing financial assistance from the beginning of active service until death. Assistance is provided though its four charities: the Air Force Aid Society, Air Force Enlisted Village, Air Force Villages Charitable Foundation and the LeMay Foundation.

  •  Air Force Aid Society (AFAS) - The official charity of the U.S. Air Force, AFAS promotes the Air Force mission by helping "to relieve distress of Air Force members and their families and assisting them to Air Force Aid Society Logofinance their education". It is rooted in the original Army Air Corps and the World War II Army Air Forces, whose members wanted to "take care of their own."
