Online Survivor Benefits Reports (OSBR)

Your interactive OSBR provides you with updated benefits information, reflecting any changes to benefit amounts due to the ages of your family members, new legislation or cost-of-living increases. If you do not have a Department of Defense Self-Service Logon (DS Logon) premium account set up, contact the Family Assistance Support Team (FAST) at 877-827-2471, Monday through Friday between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time (EST), and they will assist you in setting up your DS Logon account.

Step 1 Verify Your Personal Data

The benefits information contained in your OSBR is based upon information that was available at the time your account was established. Since then, you may have experienced changes in your family composition or dependency status, such as becoming a full-time student, getting married, or becoming disabled. Please verify that the information displayed on your OSBR is current and correct. If it is not, contact the FAST at 877-827-2471, Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. EST, or by email at MFOSBR@MagellanFederal.com. You can print or download your report.

Step 2 Enter Additional Information or Run “What if?” Scenarios

Your OSBR allows you to input actual changes that have occurred in a family member’s status since your records were last updated. You can also run ”What if?” scenarios to see how they affect your benefit amounts. You may answer up to four pertinent questions for each family member. These changes are only for your immediate viewing; no changes to any permanent records will be made. Please report actual changes to the FAST using the contact methods stated above. You can print or download your “What if?” report.

Step 3 Review your “What if?” Scenario

Review the report that reflects the actual or “What if” changes you made in Step 2. If you have any questions about your report, please call the FAST at 877-827-2471.

Your OSBR allows you to safely and securely obtain information about your government benefits and view real or hypothetical changes in the eligibility status of any beneficiaries. To protect you from outsiders gaining access to this information, we ask that you verify your identity by entering your DS Logon.
